Why I have this website
A few years ago, when Yahoo! bought geocities, they started charging for the pop access to e-mail. I discovered that it is cheaper to have your own domain name, unlimited personalized e-mail addresses, and website than it is to pay yahoo for POP access to their e-mail.
Now that I have all this storage space, I might as well fill it up... Here is a list of songs that I recorded (they get better near the end):
About a month ago, my website got listed in the search.windowsmedia.com now I have to remove some of the links because my traffic has increased so much. That is likely what brought you here.

Here comes the sun |
Done with my acoustic Epiphone PR 350S and a desktop computer microphone. Pay no attention to the mistakes and the sigh at 2:40. Check back later and I may re-release this. |

Bridge over troubled water |
Plugged my Epiphone Sheraton VSB directly into the computer. I got a little too jazzy near the end. |

Oh Darling! |
Recorded with my new Eastman AR810CE guitar. It was done with 3 separate recordings. The left channel was "acoustic" with a microphone, the right and the middle channels were done with it plugged in. |

If I Fell |
In Hi-Fi Stereo! Using a microphone for acoustic, and amplifier for the pickup. And the magnificent Eastman guitar. |

Duckin' the Fog. |
(Copyright 2005, David Dailey) My first successful attempt at a melody and chord progressions. I think I either need a microphone pre-amp, or a better sound card. Done in 1 take! |

Wonderful Tonight |
Fewer mistakes this time. I could sing this one, but I'm not going to. |

Slightly modified, to exclude the harpsichord solo. |

Blues |
Left channel is AR810CE into a microphone. Right channel is the pickup plugged into the mixing board directly. |

Wonderful Tonight |
I finally started singing. |

Promises |
Some more singing. |
Free Software
These are all recorded with Audacity and the mp3 encoding is done with LAME.
Check out KRISTAL Audio Engine. It seems to have some more features than Audacity. If you want to have an ASIO compatible sound card, download ASIO4ALL. My sound card is a Realtek AC97
My Gear
I first started playing a guitar with my father's old black Silvertone and his 1970 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe gold-top.
Christmas in 1990 or '91, I got my first guitar, an Epiphone PR 350S. Then for my birthday in 1993, I got an Epiphone Sheraton VSB.
I made 2 classical guitars in 1999 and 2000 and they sound alright. I also have a Fender Ultra Chorus amplifier. Up until this year I didn't have a high quality instrument of my own, so I bought a new Eastman Uptown Pro AR810CE with Antique Red finish. It sounds, looks, and plays better than anything else (maybe the Les Paul plays better). It's a real carved archtop too.
